Providing Wings to Fly
As Australians commemorate Refugee Week, the Baptist Union of Victoria has approved a $10,000 loan to assist a Myanmar family moving to Australia after 27 years living in a refugee camp.
Six people will be able to fly to Australia thanks to the loan approved last week by the BUV’s Refugee Airfare Assistance Loans Scheme (RAALS) committee.

A heartwarming service filled with stories of endurance through struggles marked the fifth anniversary of the Melbourne Karenni Baptist church in Wyndham Vale on May 21.

Intentional investment in leadership development
The 2023 EMERGE (intentional leadership development pathway for emerging leaders) cohort kicked off in February with the now traditional team building / getting to know each other activity of assembling bikes. The bikes were donated to children at Mt Waverley Nth Primary School (after being checked by the local bike guy to ensure their safety!).
